CWT Commodities Pte Ltd was established in 1983 under the name Cornelder Asia Pte Ltd. The company has developed its expertise in the storage and handling of soft and hard commodities through the provision of warehouse management services. The company offered and still offers those services to international traders, producers and trade & commodity finance banks.

Early 2004 Cornelder Asia Pte Ltd was acquired by C&P Holding Pte Ltd and the name of the company was changed to C&P Asia Pte Ltd. Later in the same year, C&P Holding also acquired the controlling stake in CWT Limited, a public listed company on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX).

As a part of the C&P Group’s overall restructuring, C&P Asia was integrated into CWT Limited late 2006. Despite the incorporation of C&P Asia into CWT Limited, the existing business model of the company, as well as its structure, management and/or personnel remained the same.

The integration into the CWT Group has provided the company access to the entire range of companies and services of CWT around the world as well as access to substantial sources of funding for expansion and development of its business. At the end of 2007 the name of the company was changed from C&P Asia Pte Ltd into CWT Commodities Pte Ltd in order to reflect the finalization of the integration of the company into the CWT Group.

Today CWT Commodities Pte Ltd is the leading company providing Collateral Management Services in the region. The company has also regained its prominence in LME warehousing operations.
